Roy Lewellen

Pictured here is Roy Lewellen on the right and his brother Raymond Lewellen.

Brothers Roy and Raymond Lewellen are sons of Herbert and Sarah (Basinger) Lewellen of Bullskin Township where both joined the United States Army.

Roy served 38 months in the European Campaign where he participated in the November invasion and Normandy invasion. While serving with the infantry he was made a radio operator. Roy also received the Purple Heart. Roy served in WWII from January 1942 - 1946.
