Dale was born in 

Connellsville, 

Pennsylvania on March 

09,1925.

He entered the US Navy on July 20, 1943.

Dale went through basic training at the US Naval Training Station located at Sampson, New York.

He was stationed at the Port of Oran French, Algeria during "Operation Torch" (Pictured Above).

He was assigned to the Naval Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 559.

While in the Navy he received the European Theater Ribbon; American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Metal.

Dale Separated from the US Navy on April 26, 1946. 

He passed away November 20, 2005 at the age of 80.
