First Cavalry Division on Luzon - Son of Mr. and Mrs. George Graham, 120 East Murphy Avenue, Connellsville has been promoted to the rank of Corporal in the 8th Cavalry Regiment now fighting in the Philippines.

Seasoned veteran of the 1st Cavalry Division, Graham has been awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge, two bronze stars and a bronze arrowhead on his Asiatic-Pacific ribbon for campaigns in the admiralty Islands and the Philippines, and the new Philippines Liberation Ribbon with two bronze stars, signifying he participated int he initial landing in the Philippines.
